About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support pupils in line with school policies. Assignments can vary from day-to-day cover to long-term placements depending on your availability and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons following pre-prepared planning
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and professionally
Support pupils with their learning, progress and wellbeing
Mark work where required (long-term assignments)
Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and reporting procedures
Maintain a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Requirements – Legal & Compliance (UK Schools):
To work as a Supply Teacher in UK schools, applicants musthave:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or QTLS
Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service(essential)
Right to Work in the UK
Two recent professional referencescovering the last 2 years
Complete safeguarding, vetting and identity checks(arranged by Supply Today)
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Good classroom management and teaching experience
