About the Role

Drivers Today are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Container Drivers for ongoing, long-term work based in Walsall.
This role involves container haulage work from local ports and depots, with steady runs and modern vehicles. Ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent work and professional operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on container work

  • Collecting and delivering containers to and from ports, RDCs, and customer sites

  • Handling container paperwork and checking seals

  • Completing vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secure

  • Maintaining a professional and reliable approach on every shift

Role Details

  • Day and night shifts available

  • Ongoing, long-term work with consistent start times

  • No handball – straightforward driving

  • Modern fleet with well-maintained vehicles

  • Immediate starts available following assessment

Requirements

  • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

  • Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience (container experience preferred)

  • Understanding of port procedures and container yards an advantage

  • Professional, safety-focused attitude
