Drivers Today are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers in Stoke for clean and straightforward general trunking work. This role involves trunking runs between depots and distribution centres — no handball, no complex multi-drops, just reliable driving work with a consistent schedule.

As a family-run agency with 30+ years of transport recruitment experience, we know how important it is to offer drivers stability, respect, and regular shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Class 1 trunking runs (depot to depot / RDCs)

  • Ensuring paperwork and logs are completed correctly

  • Following driver hours and WTD regulations

  • Keeping vehicles clean and reporting any defects

Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • Current CPC and Digi Tacho card

  • Minimum 6 months recent Class 1 experience

  • Previous trunking experience desirable

  • Strong understanding of UK road laws

  • A professional and reliable approach to work
